Archive Elements came about as a result of one older couple on a mission to securely store and organize the best of our digital lives. Our data was everywhere, scattered and difficult to search.
Our current digital objects – photos, videos, docs – tend to get tossed into whatever pile is most immediately accessible. Old files are on different devices than new files. It all accumulates until our multiple cloud directories and external hard drives resemble the homes of reality-tv hoarders.
We're putting together a better plan. The goal is that we'll have quick and uncluttered access to all the stuff that helps define our family and its history. And when our time comes, the next generation can take on that archive and push it forward.
This website includes reviews of services and products available to family archivers, genealogists, organizers and other creators. We write about these providers based on the needs outlined here at Archive Elements. As always, we recommend carefully reviewing information on the resource websites themselves, before signing on for accounts and purchases.
